Inspec provides dimensional measurement software tools, along with consulting
and integration services, to measurement inspection OEMs. A principle with the company
developed the original specifications for the DMIS Part 2 ANSI standard, and was heavily
involved in the DMIS standardization process through membership with the DMIS Standards
Committee (DSC).
Inspec Software Corp. acquired all rights to the DMIS Object Technology software and logos
from Object Workshops, Inc. in 2010. Inspec provides inspection software tools, including
development toolkits for third party integration, based on the DMIS Part 1 and Part 2
standards. These are marketed under the trademarks DMIS Object Technology and DOT; and are
currently available for license to inspection equipment OEMs and inspection software
developers.
